Birthday thoughts


Today is my birthday so here’s a few thoughts. If it’s your birthday too have a wonderful day.

Birthdays are a new start; fresh beginnings, a time to start new endeavors with new goals. Move forward with fresh confidence and courage. You are a special person, may you have an amazing today and year!

Count the age, not the wrinkles you have. Count the blessings and the wonderful experience not the mistakes you have made.
Forget the past, look forward to the future for the best things are yet to come.

Own your good fortune


Don’t wish for a solution to your problems. Be the solution, with the way you live each moment.

If you hold out hope that something will come along to make it all better, you’ll be disappointed. Life gets better when you choose to live it in a positive, intentional, responsible and fulfilling way.

Good fortune is not something that happens to you. Rather, it is the way you can choose to be, no matter what happens.

If your happiness is dependent on factors beyond your control, you’ll never be secure enough in it to enjoy it. If you have to beg for favors, those favors will be of little use to you.

Good fortune is yours when you take full and complete ownership of it. Fulfillment is yours when you make the effort and commitment to live it each day.

Thinking clearer


So my working week is over, it hasn’t been a bad week. Testing? Yes, but nobody said it was going to be easy.
Well if it was it would soon lose its appeal and become another chore.

I started this thing recently where at the end of each day I like to write down what went well and what not so well.How I handled certain situations and what could have been done differently. Kind of like a stop, start, continue exercise.

I have been doing this for a few weeks now and have found that it’s making my thinking clearer. Sounds silly but I think it has.

This was all part of my new years resolution to myself. Get physically fitter, get mentally fitter and become more in tune with myself. Looking at myself from the outside, see what I can improve.

For the rest of today and tomorrow though I’m going to enjoy the copa mundial, the weather and recharge my batteries.
